Lakeside Visions

The casting of a stone one day,
Gave visions of a world astray.
With war and famine leading the chase,
The ripple of doubt trying to keep the pace.
So I gave it thought of what was to be,
If God was not there to give guidance to me.
And surely as the sun will rise,
It came to me, but not a surprise.
In times of strife and no end in sight,
Gods hand reaches out to give us the might.
So as those ripples washed ashore,
They came to rest and were no more.

Young Boy Memories

He'll shed his spirit, but only to rest,
For at the crack of dawn, he's up and dressed.
He spurs a grin as if to say,
"Gotta go, there's not enough time in the day!"
With shroud in hand to conquer his quest
He zooms out the door to a world at rest.
His guardian angels are Olympic's best,
For how can you explain the race they're up against?
A young boy's mind races helplessly through time,
Chasing the images of fantasy, heroes and crime.
He'll feast at the table of knights at hand,
Talking of chivalry, bravery and his motley band.
So take heed to his wonders and joys,
For his life was full as it is in every little boy.
And when you see the clouds smile down,
Remember the times when he was around.
For those were special and never surrendered.
A gift from him whose memory we'll remember.

Ending and Beginnings

I reach out to touch the clouds I sought,
Where as a child they never existed, I thought.
The silver linings are now of gold,
And a treasure so vast, as yet to be told.
My eyes have seen these, but still you weep.
So I'll cherish this moment, but a new life I seek.
The voices, I hear are calling to me,
Of love and serenity and how it should be.
I leave with you our memories to hold
Of love and happiness and the joys of old.
I close my eyes now, as Gods will commands
The new life is here, in my makers hands.

The Inside Truth

Like a wondering eagle
Ever soaring through the skies.
So holds a truth
Of  love burning deep inside.
The streams of happiness
Silently rushing past my eyes,
Can only hold meaning
To the caring and the wise.
