The Shattered Soul

You walk within the lesser of life,

And live in a world of fantasy and lies.

What is it in the shadows that you must seek seek,

Can one live within with the spirit so weak.

You're the image of every man's passion,

And a slave to each and every one.

Can the path that you walk be ever so wide,

That someday it may grow narrow

Leaving only the thoughts of yesterday behind.

Sharing Life

To feel this pain is to grow in part,

And to taste its nectar will quench the heart.

If only to give but ask for none,

It's a brighter world you'll walk as one.

Your dreams and thoughts you plan as two,

Working together, to make them come true.

Searching for nothing but what is already there,

Opening your eyes, for it's not yours to compare.

Sharing together your feelings of trust,

Making something special for love is a must.

Rings and flowers are only a token,

Humbling to each other to keep from being broken.

All My Children

They smiled and a flower bloomed,

As they spoke the rain went away.

A gift of heart, a silver lining of a dream,

The treasures they give are mine to keep.

If it's only with magic to bring joy from tears,

Then I'll take my place, a mother of years.

So now they're gone, their memories so rare,

But in my thoughts, they'll always be there.

The Drifter

You say you'd need me,

But for on my ship I must sale.

If not for tears and memories,

Then in this world I have no place.

The majestic mountains that surround us,

Can only be your keeper.

For I, like driftwood, ever floating in the sea

Can only continue to wander, searching to be free.

You say you must have me,

As to the oceans need the shores.

But can you cage a wandering man,

As does the earth, when the rain must fall.

Even the soil is only a filter,

And soon it will cry for more.

So make way for now your feelings to come,

But cradled within you your feelings of me.

You say you will always love me,

But do you say that in self-pity.

For what it tomorrow when I have gone,

Will love give way when a new Dawn is born.

I have traveled this land for many a mile,

And planted this world with feelings of love.

So dry your tears and hold me so tight,

For the morning sun is ever so near.

And in these passions that holds so well,

It's hidden in truth, that on my ship I must sale.
